Day 1 Full Day Petra Guided Tour and Wadi Rum Sunset Experience

Your journey begins with travel south toward Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Upon arrival, you will meet your licensed guide and begin a full day guided tour through the ancient city.

During your visit you will explore the main attractions of Petra, including:

• The Siq, the dramatic natural entrance to the city

• The Treasury, Petra’s most iconic monument

• The Street of Facades with its impressive tombs

• The Colonnaded Street, once the center of the ancient city

The guided visit allows enough time to explore Petra comfortably and understand its history and significance. Guided tours in Petra are available in most major languages. Please let us know your preferred language in advance so a licensed guide can be arranged.

Lunch is included during your visit to Petra, allowing you to rest and continue exploring comfortably throughout the day.

For guests who wish to continue exploring, there is time to optionally hike to the Monastery, one of Petra’s largest and most impressive monuments with panoramic views over the surrounding mountains.

In the afternoon you continue toward Wadi Rum. Upon arrival, you will head into the desert with your Bedouin guide to a beautiful sunset viewpoint away from crowds. Here you can relax, watch the changing colors of the desert landscape, and enjoy traditional Bedouin tea while the sun sets behind the mountains.

After sunset, you will be taken to your Bedouin camp where you will check in to your private Bedouin style tent. Dinner is served at the camp and includes the traditional Bedouin dish Zarb, cooked underground in the desert.

The evening can be spent relaxing around the campfire, meeting local hosts, and enjoying the quiet atmosphere of the desert. A stargazing night tour is available upon request for guests who wish to explore the night sky in more detail.

Early risers also have the option to enjoy a sunrise camel ride through the desert, a peaceful way to experience Wadi Rum in the early morning light. This activity is available upon request and can be arranged at the camp.

Day 2 Wadi Rum Desert Experience and Departure

​

After breakfast at camp, you will head into the desert on a guided Jeep tour with a local Bedouin guide, visiting the main attractions of Wadi Rum and experiencing the landscapes that make this desert famous.

During the tour you will visit sites such as:

• The Nabataean Temple

• Lawrence’s Spring

• Khazali Sand Dune

• Khazali Canyon with ancient inscriptions

• The Little Rock Bridge

• Um Frouth Rock Bridge

• Lawrence’s House

Wadi Rum tours are guided in English or Arabic by local Bedouin guides. Along the way you will stop for traditional Bedouin tea and short walks to enjoy the scenery and take photos.

Lunch is included in Wadi Rum before departure, giving you time to relax at camp after the desert experience.

After the desert experience, you will be transferred to your requested drop off location. Drop off can be arranged in any city or airport in Jordan with prior arrangement.
